Back to the College Football Uniforms
In 2011, Adidas updated its basic design for non-BCS programs to a Tech-fit combination and the threads at Troy were included within the switch.
Current options for the Trojans include cardinal and white tops and the same for pants. Stripes have been removed from pants for a simpler look. Numerals on Adidas’ updated uniforms are screen-printed, the company logo rests at the crest and Troy’s stylized “TROJANS” wordmark is plastered across the chest.
Nameplates are blank and each set is free of stripes or piping. Prior to 2004, Troy donned black as its primary color for a decade before switching to cardinal helmets with the program’s primary “TROY” wordmark within a shield with swords logo.
One of Troy’s best looks remains its all-cardinal get up with white numerals and a black collar. There have been talks in recent years of a new alternate helmet featuring the program’s secondary “T” logo, but no prototypes have been revealed. The Trojans are one of college football’s only teams that do not have an alternate uniform combination.
Incorporating more silver into its gameday attire, since silver’s a school color, could be an option for Troy.
