Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks Football Uniforms

Back to the College Football Uniforms

A near-win over Auburn and an upset victory at Arkansas put Louisiana-Monroe on the map during the 2012 college football season.

It’s time for the Warhawks’ uniforms to catch up.

Louisiana-Monroe’s current Adidas set is modern and a major step in the right direction compared to previous threads in recent years. White road jerseys feature a maroon “ULM” below the color across the front.

Wavy contrasting accents wrap around the tops onto pants that feature the Warhawks’ primary logo on the left hip. Home maroon tops accented in gold are the program’s best look, a simplistic uniform with perfectly-placed piping and a “WARHAWKS” wordmark instead of the school name appearance on the whites.

The three stripes brand logo appeared on the right front shoulder of previous designs but now rests at the center crest above uniform wordmarks. In 2006, the Warhawks updated their helmet color to white for the first time in three decades, bringing with it a new, more inspiring logo.

Northeast Louisiana University became Louisiana Monroe in 1999 and the team nickname was switched from Indians to Warhawks in 2006. Under the Indians moniker, Louisiana-Monroe’s color scheme and design was directly tied to Florida State’s look and the helmets reflected it.

In 2003, the Warhawks donned gold shells with a maroon and white tomahawk. A similar helmet appeared the next two seasons, this time inverted on a maroon shell.
