There’s work to be done.
Established in 2009, the Jaguars became a full Division I FBS member in 2012 but have kept the same uniforms at launch since. South Alabama’s red, white and blue color scheme has endless options should the swoosh allow for cutting-edge design.
South Alabama’s white on navy road set with red accents flows well, as does the program’s red home tops. It’s never too soon for an alternate helmet and matte navy would be a welcomed addition.
One notable uniform fact at South Alabama is the importance of No. 5, the jersey of fallen running back Anthony Mostella. The Jaguars select a senior to proudly wear the numeral that has “earned it” every year for leadership and work ethic.
