Eastern Michigan Eagles Football Uniforms

Back to the College Football Uniforms

After playing the last several seasons in a basic Adidas template, Eastern Michigan stepped its game up 2012 with a new design headlined by the program’s first gray alternates.

In all, the Eagles currently have more than 20 different uniform combinations at their disposal and three different helmet colors. For starters, the Eagles’ jersey options include green, white and gray along with their pants. Adidas’ Tech-Fit fabric creates a more breathable, comfortable fit for players.

Like other three stripe-sponsored programs with a bird nickname, the Eagles now have wing designs on the shoulder of jerseys and tops feature “EASTERN MICHIGAN” or “EAGLES” wordmarks. All three pants have the program’s block E stitched to the left hip. Eastern Michigan has donned its green helmet with the program’s primary “Block E” logo since 2002 and now has the choice of a matte white or matte gray shell.

Eastern Michigan’s threads are 30 percent lighter than Adidas’ ‘normal’ uniforms and strategically-placed vent zones offer better flexibility. Before the recent Adidas revamp, Eastern Michigan often looked like Michigan State with kelly green jerseys and white pants.

The Eagles have nearly twice as many options as the Nike-led Spartans and have separated themselves from other non-BCS programs as one of the torchbearers in the uniform surge.
